Chris Kennedy’s experimental film work engages with the transparency and materiality of film. Simultaneous Contrast uses the diagonal designs on city bus shelters in San Francisco, where he lived while working toward his MFA, as a formal device for exploring the interplay of background and foreground. Chris currently lives in Toronto where he works as a film programmer and writer. In Spring 2011, he was a visiting artist in the UVA department of Art. More about his work can be found here.
